5.11.11 - Drawing and painting fishes in watercolour

Artwork by E: 3 years 7 months
Artwork by S: 5 years 2 months

I had brought my art materials to Melaka and was trying to complete my painting when it got hijacked by the boys. E drew a picture of a large fish and both the boys painted it together. They decided to draw fishes after learning about fishes at Melaka Coral Wonderland

Drawn by E (3.5 years old) painted by both the boys
E drew a tankful of fishes.
Barracuddas drawn by E. Some of the fishes are talking to each other. Notice the speech bubbles?
S (5 years, 2 months) drew 2 fishes talking to teach other.

4.8.11: Drawing houses by the river

Artwork by S: 4 years 11 months

I sat at the Tanjung Bungah beach and drew the landscape in pencil. When the sun came out, it was too hot to sit at the beach, so I decided to paint in the hotel room instead. However, my art materials got hijacked by the boys again.
S drew a house and a car by the river.
He can hold the brush pretty well now.
E decided to join in to draw and paint

25.7.11 - Painting fishing boats in watercolour

25 July 2011
Artwork by E: 3 years 3 months
Artwork by S: 4 years 10 months

S was in the midst of painting some boats when my art materials got hijacked by the boys. This is their first time painting using my art materials, and I noticed that there is a difference when they use good quality brushes and artist watercolour as compared to their own (cheaper) art materials.

He drew using my drawing and a photograph as a reference
