We went to Galeri Petronas at Suria KLCC for a children’s art workshop on Deepavali day. The workshop costs RM12 per child. It was taught by En. Uneh Hasren. He asked the kids to call him ‘Uncle U’, short for Uneh, which is a combination of the word ‘unik’ and ‘aneh’ in Bahasa

He also showed us some of the colourings that he did with colour pencils. The flowers that he coloured were very beautiful. I had never seen colour pencils having the effect like watercolours. It was unique that he uses colour pencils to colour. When I attended art classes when I was young, we used oil pastels. However, my boys don't like the oil pastels as it stains their hands. I'm still trying to figure out how to get them to like oil pastels. I just read that there is a holder which we can use, but I don't know where to get it. Perhaps in the art supply shop. In the meantime, colour pencils would be a good alternative then.
